About the conference

The 2012 National Conference theme is Growing Leaders for the Future.

If the Church wants to fulfil the ministry the Lord has called it to, then one of the most important things it must do is developing its leadership.

The church in 2030 will be led by today's 15-18 year olds.

Every ministry that the Church undertakes depends on its leaders. That is, leaders who know the truth of the Scriptures and are expressing the life of Christ with vitality through the fullness of His indwelling Spirit and the richness and depth of the experience of His Word dwelling within.

The church in 2030 will be led by today's 15-18 year olds. That is, the kids in high school today will be the mature spiritual leaders who underpin the church's work in the days ahead. The impact we will have in 2030 will be determined by the quality, not of our worship services today, but by the quality of spiritual life we impart to the young people we have opportunity to invest in. If we grow a generation who really know first hand the reality of John 15 in their lives, they will be incredibly fruitful – that's guaranteed.

So our task is to be authentic and vibrant and then to impart that to the next generation.

If we are intentional and focussed on effective mentoring in the same way Jesus was, we believe we can raise up quality leaders who will have an irrepressible and profound impact on this world for the kingdom of God.

Our aim is to cast this vision and mobilise our churches to focus on that game plan.

Over the three days of the conference, Jeremy McQuoid, Darrell Bock and David Smith will teach, inspire and challenge each of us, with a blend of the theology of leadership development, along with practical how to's from a biblical basis.

Such a commitment and refocusing of our efforts will be the "Turning Point" that will see genuine authentic biblical Christianity reassert its ascendancy in the evangelical world, where personal meditation on the Word produces a biblical experience of the Holy Spirit through His application of the Word of God in the life of the church. Then the world will witness a church that is ministering the real gospel in the same dynamic power of the early church.
